Is there any performance more quintessential to the holiday season than The Nutcracker? Probably not. That’s why it’s time to grab your tickets to The Washington Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” running now through December 26th. Back in person this year, the ballet’s version of this traditional favorite has a unique twist that is fitting for our locale. They set the show in 1882 and feature period-inspired costumes and characters like George Washington, who didn’t appear in the original version of the performance. Over 100 dancers will take the stage for this unique rendition that has been dubbed “charmingly DC” for good reason, and you don’t want to miss it! 

Tickets are on sale now, and it’s recommended that you purchase in advance so you can snag your perfect seat at the Warner Theatre, which is just moments from The Residences at Eastern Market. Note that you do have to be fully vaccinated to attend the performance, and children under the age of 12 will have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the performance.
